What is Healthy Sexuality?
A lot of people wonder about this, and I did too, so I did
some research. I interviewed 10 adults
(5 women and 5 men) of all sexual preferences/orientations and walks of life
about their views on healthy sexuality. Here’s
what I found:
It’s creative rather than destructive
It’s self-affirming, life-affirming, and spirit-affirming
It’s honoring of self and others
It’s honest and disclosing, not dishonest or secretive
It allows for the consumption of pornography or other commercial
sexual practices, as long as it’s done with consent and not to excess
It cares for the body, the mind, the emotions, and the
And best of all, it’s fun!
In short, healthy sexuality means that you are enjoying your
body and the pleasure it can give you, you are enjoying your sexual
relationship(s), and you are feeling good about your sexual practices. The good news is that if you are finding
yourself in situations where you want to make your sexuality healthier, advances
in science, namely Integrative Psychology and Bioenergetics, are wonderfully
effective tools to do such.
A lot of people struggle with wanting to have romantic and
sexual partners and not being able to find them, or they’re stuck in patterns
of unhealthy relationships, or they suffer with sexual functioning
challenges. Integrative Psychology and
Bioenergetics (or Biofield Therapies), are designed to determine what is going
on in the body, the mind, and the spirit, and to treat the whole person. If the body is out of balance, corrections in
diet or environment can be implemented.
If the mind is wreaking havoc in a person’s life (and this is common, as
it is well known in psychology that approximately 90% of the mind is
unconscious, and therefore 90% of our thoughts, decisions, motivations,
beliefs, and behaviors are out of our conscious control, and may be the root of
our dissatisfaction), mental programs and emotions can be balanced and changed
to be in line with a person’s desired life.
Finally, if a person is seeking deeper connection or more meaning,
spiritual or existential exercises can be employed to elicit more
satisfaction. The beauty of integrative
work is that it simultaneously works on the body, mind, and spirit.
I have a 100% success rate in treating sexual
functioning challenges, in that every person I’ve treated has shown significant
improvement. If you would like to learn

Sexual Sustenance is a three

Our first meeting will be a
one hour intake session where we get to know each other better where we discuss
your significant life events, health or body issues you may have, your mental and
emotional states, your significant relationships, and your spirituality/finding meaning
in life needs.
We will discuss your sexuality,
including your sexual history, your sexual preferences, and any sexual trouble
spots. We will conclude with
discussing what your ideal life would look like in order to create your
personal goals for our work together.
Our sessions will be
personalized and tailored to you. We will
identify any impediments that are preventing you from achieving your goals, and we will systematically fix every one of them.
This may involve transforming limiting beliefs into affirming ones, or
healing traumatic situations in your past, releasing negative emotions, or
releasing unconscious self sabotage patterns.
In any case, Dr. Dexter's approach is gentle but direct.
At the conclusion of each
session, you may be given a personalized treatment plan to include recommendations
for vitamins, supplements, herbs, and/or homeopathic remedies. You may also be given homework assignments of
reading books, watching videos, yoga, meditation, relaxation exercises, or
other specific tasks. Your homework will
be uniquely tailored to your needs.
The Healthy Sexuality Program does not involve
any nudity or sexual contact between us.
You may be given sexual homework assignments to complete in the privacy
of your home, however.
