Frequently Asked Questions

What does “integrative” mean?

Integrative means simultaneously treating body, mind, and spirit for a holistic approach. This means that the whole presenting problem is addressed. For example, if you have a sexual health problem, we will address environmental causes, dietary causes, underlying emotional causes, and underlying spiritual or existential causes. Similarly, if you have a block to achieving a personal growth goal, such as finding a quality partner, we will address underlying emotional, mental, and spiritual causes. All issues will be addressed with the body, unconscious mind, conscious mind, and spirit in mind to ensure total healing.

What does a session look like?

Our first session will be an intake session. The intake session will be one hour where we get to know each other better. We will discuss your significant life events, any health or body issues you may have, your mental and emotional states, your significant relationships, and your spirituality and/or existential (finding meaning in life) needs. Finally, we will conclude with discussing what your ideal life would look like in order to create your personal goals for our work together.

Our sessions will be personalized and tailored to you. We will identify any impediments that are preventing you from achieving your goals, and we will systematically fix every one of them. This may involve transforming limiting beliefs into affirming ones, or healing traumatic situations in your past, or releasing negative emotions, or releasing unconscious self-sabotage patterns. In any case, my approach is gentle but direct.

At the conclusion of each session, you may be given a personalized treatment plan to include recommendations for vitamins, supplements, herbs, and/or homeopathic remedies. You may also be given homework assignments of yoga, meditation, relaxation exercises, or specific tasks. Your homework will be uniquely tailored to your needs.

How does your work differ from other psychologists or sex coaches/therapists?

My work goes deeper than traditional psychotherapy, sex coaching or sex therapy, because in addition to facilitating insight into your presenting issues, providing education, and giving you homework to improve your situation, I will facilitate biofield healing. This means that negative emotions that you feel stuck with, traumatic events that still upset you, and stumbling blocks that keep you from achieving what you want will be gently removed using scientifically supported bioenergetic methods (energy medicine and energy psychology). I use Integrative Biofield Healing Arts (IBHA), Healing From the Body Level Up (HBLU), NeuroEmotional Technique (NET), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and hypnosis, among others.

How long will it take to notice improvements?

Most everyone notices significant improvements after their very first treatment session.

How long will it take to complete my transformational goals?

That depends on many factors. Some issues are more complicated than others. Each case is unique. However, most everyone is able to make significant progress toward his or her goals in each and every session.
